The Remarried Empress

Synopsis

Navier is the Empress of the Eastern Empire. She is praised for her intelligence and innate elegance. Her life as empress is peaceful alongside her husband, Emperor Sovieshu. She does not love Sovieshu romantically but regards him as both a friend and family member. Having spent much of their childhood together, they share the same goal of creating a great empire. However, her relationship with her husband changes after he brings a runaway slave, Rashta, to the palace and makes her his mistress. This breaks the promise he made to Navier never to take a concubine. Meanwhile, Prince Heinrey is the heir apparent to the throne of the Western Kingdom. His clan harbors a secret: they can transform into birds. After transforming into a bird, he travels to the Eastern Empire's palace as a spy. There, he meets Empress Navier and falls in love with her. Empress Navier of the Eastern Empire receives a divorce notice from her husband, Emperor Sovieshu, who has fallen in love with Rashta. Rather than accepting the divorce, Navier asks for permission to remarry Prince Heinrey of the Western Kingdom.
