Synopsis

Xie Cizhou, Lord of Yunzhou City, once rose to power with the support of Huanhua Valley, but his growing suspicion drove him into enmity with its master, Siyu, forcing the valley into seclusion from the martial world. Years later, Xie Cizhou’s tyrannical rule sparks widespread resentment. In secret, his younger brother, Prince Xuanping Xie Ciyuan, counters him under the hidden identity of the head of Wufeng Pavilion. Fang Muwan, a successor of Huanhua Valley, was once trapped in a case of mistaken identity and married Xie Ciyuan for three years. She ultimately escaped by faking her own death through self-immolation, returned to the valley, and ascended as its new leader. Determined to sever all ties with the past, she becomes betrothed to Shi Jiu, a shadow guard. When an unresolved assassination attempt against the head of Wufeng Pavilion resurfaces, Fang Muwan takes matters into her own hands—only to discover that beneath the pavilion master’s mask stands her former husband, Xie Ciyuan. As their eyes meet once more, national hatred, familial vengeance, and unextinguished love collide. This time, will the sword in her hand be turned toward the chaos of a troubled era, or toward the heart she has never truly understood?
