Fragrance of the Pomegranates

Synopsis

Ming Liang, a young man chasing his artistic dreams in the big city, returns to his hometown at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains to care for his ailing adoptive mother, Ai Yi Sha. To revive Ai Yi Sha’s restaurant “Red Pomegranate”, Ming Liang accepts the challenge of Michelin chef An Dong. While growing rapidly, he also brings the poorly managed restaurant back to life. At the same time, influenced by the brave dream-chasing stories of those around him, including technician Li Guang Tian and social worker Wu La Si, Ming Liang clarifies his life direction—to promote Xinjiang’s culinary culture. Ming Liang meets Gu Li Na Er, the independent and spirited leader of an animal protection organization, and develops feelings for her. However, Gu Li Na Er, focused entirely on her career, has no intention of dating. Ming Liang, with his unique life wisdom and attitude, opens Gulinaer’s heart.
