Dead End (2025)

Synopsis

In the summer of 1994, in Nancheng, Beijing, a girl "committed suicide" in the well, but various signs at the scene showed that this was an intentional homicide, and the nature was very bad. After that, girls were killed one after another in the alley. Rumors of the "Alley Killer" spread widely, and a cloud of fear hung over every household. But at that time, detection methods were far less developed than today. There were no cameras in the alleys, and there was no DNA comparison technology. To catch a suspect, there is almost no shortcut, it is to visit door to door. Even the "rogue veteran" was called in to investigate the case. There is a rumor circulating among the residents: In order to force the demolition households to leave, the developer deliberately killed a girl, and the relevant departments protected the murderer. The police and their apprentices rushed into the case together. Holding teapots in their hands and riding old-fashioned bicycles, they traveled through the dilapidated alley area of less than 3 square kilometers to hunt down the serial killer. Before coming into contact with this case, they did not believe in fate. Soon, the number of victims continued to increase, the jurisdiction was turned upside down, people panicked, and the master and apprentice police officers were in a difficult situation. Their only clue is: the murderer can't escape from these alleys...
