Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island

Synopsis

In the warmth of a summer drenched in golden sunlight and the scent of ripening litchis, Nie Xiao Zhi arrives on a secluded island, expecting nothing more than a peaceful holiday at his classmate’s family plantation. Instead, he finds himself drawn into an intoxicating world of hidden emotions, untold secrets, and a connection he never anticipated. At the heart of it all is Chen Li—the younger brother of Xiao Zhi’s classmate—whose carefree confidence contrasts sharply with Xiao Zhi’s quiet hesitance. Between the echoes of laughter by the poolside, shared sketches inspired by David Hockney, and whispered conversations under the starry sky, an undeniable chemistry blossoms between them. Yet, beneath the idyllic scenery lies a mystery—one woven into the island’s unchanging beauty and the unspoken words between two young men navigating the delicate boundary between friendship and something deeper. As they experience the sweetness and bitterness of first times—tasting freshly harvested lychees, roasting chicken over a campfire, witnessing a sunrise side by side—their bond deepens. But with the past casting long shadows and the weight of reality threatening to pull them apart, they must confront the truth: is their connection just a fleeting moment in time, or is it something meant to last?
